As the owner chef of Japanese homemade cuisine restaurant , chef So-Bong Kim has shown fine and superb Japanese cuisine in Jeju. He could develop his culinary skills by working at various restaurants in Roppongi Hills and Ebisu in Tokyo, Japan. After that, he was in charge of the owner chef of in Itaewon, Seoul. He pursues cooking with no synthetic flavoring matter. Also, he pursues clean and fine ingredients. That is why So-Bong Kim always shops for groceries everyday. He pursues simple and tasty Japanese homemade cuisine rather than fanciness. Also, he has appeared on various TV shows such as MBC ‘My little television’, OliveTV ‘Olive show’, and SBS Plus ‘With chefs’ so that he could beloved by the public.

How did you feel about joining JFWF 2019?

It was an honor to meet talented chefs, and I personally think it’s meaningful to see my friends who dream of becoming a chef. I learn, feel, and go back.

What is the most important factor in cooking?

I think it’s true. If you cook it with good ingredients and serve it with sincerity, the result may be a bit disappointing, but I think it’s worth it.

Any advice for those who dream of a chef?

Other chefs have told you, but you don’t become a chef overnight. We can save time, but I want you to step up one by one, calmly and meticulously. Of course, it’s not an easy road. I’ll cheer you on.
